• The competition is open to all residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over, except employees of the promoter or their immediate families. Any entries for children under the age of 18, will need to be submitted by a parent or guardian aged 18 years or over.
• There is no entry fee.
• To enter, you must take a clear photo of your drawing which must feature one of the ‘Railway Rubbing Trail’ Miles plaque rubbings (located at each of the following EMR stations: Sheffield, Chesterfield, Duffield, Matlock Bath, Derby, Loughborough, Leicester, Nottingham, Lincoln, Skegness, Heckington, London St Pancras (coming soon) or the following heritage railway sites: Barrow Hill Roundhouse, Chesterfield and Great Central Railway, Loughborough), and be submitted using the competition entry form above.
• Drawings should be no larger than A4 in size and must feature one of the 14 Miles plaque rubbings available at the listed locations (see point 4). You may choose to use one of the printable colouring sheets downloadable from the EMR website, however this is not mandatory.
• Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be discounted.
• Closing time and date for entry will be 23:59 on Wednesday 31 December 2025. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
• No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
• The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition at any time.
• The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
• The prize is as follows:
  • Up to four First Class anytime return tickets with East Midlands Railway (First Class travel is only valid on EMR Intercity services, if all or part of your journey requires travel on either EMR Regional or EMR Connect services, this will be standard class travel. If all or part of your journey is with another train operator, you will need to purchase tickets for this part of the journey) and up to four Kids Pass memberships, valid for 12 months only.
  • These tickets are valid for travel anywhere on the EMR network on services operated by East Midlands Railway only
  • These tickets must be redeemed for travel on or before 15 October 2026
  • All tickets must be redeemed as one booking. Tickets cannot be split across multiple bookings
• No part of the prize package is exchangeable or transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.
• The promoter reserves the right to remove or substitute part or all of the prize package if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.
• The winner for each region (Sheffield and Chesterfield, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, London and North Hants) will be selected by EMR’s Communications Team. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 72 hours of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
• The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
• All winners agree to the use of their name and details of their submission, including any associated documents, in any publicity material.
• Any personal data relating to any winners or any other entrants will be used solely as a means of contact and will not be stored beyond 30 days after the competition closes.
• The promoter shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.

  • Tickets are available for travel between 1 March – 31 December 2025, with restrictions on certain routes as outlined below. Our Advance tickets are ideal if you know where and when you’d like to travel to.

  • Advance fares are available across EMR’s Intercity, Connect, Liverpool to Norwich, Nottingham – Skegness, Nottingham to Lincoln and Derby to Crewe routes. However please note, this Railway 200 promotion is not valid for services from Nottingham to Skegness between 1 July and 30 September 2025.
• How do I book tickets?

  • Select the ‘Single’ or ‘Return’ ticket type. This promotion is not valid for ‘Open return’ tickets
  • Enter your origin and destination, along with your outbound and return dates/times
  • Select the number of travellers (max. 2 adults and 2 children)

• Do I have to buy my tickets in advance, or will there be some available on the day I wish to travel?
  • Tickets must be purchased in advance of the date of travel and are subject to availability.
• Can I use my Advance ticket on any other service if my chosen train is disrupted or cancelled?
  • If the train you purchased a ticket for is cancelled or is delayed and you still decide to travel, special arrangements will be made to accommodate you on another train (although a seat cannot be guaranteed). If you choose not to travel, you may apply for a refund on completely unused tickets and you will not be charged an administration fee.
• Can I use my ticket on any train?
  • Advance tickets are valid only on the date and train shown on the ticket or for the journey you booked.
• Can I use this promotion be used to book rail tickets on other websites?
  • No, this promotional code can only be redeemed by booking on the East Midlands Railway website.
• Is this promotion valid for use with other operators?
  • No, this promotional code is valid for travel on East Midlands Railway services only.

• Can you get a refund on an Advance ticket?
  • Advance tickets are valid only on the date and train shown on the ticket and are non-refundable.
• Can you get Delay Repay on an Advance ticket?
  • Customers are eligible for delay repay compensation if they reach their destination more than 15 minutes later than scheduled. You can find information on Delay Repay here. If you choose not to travel at the last minute in the event of train delays or cancellations, you should claim a refund from the place of purchase.
• Can you use a Railcard?
