Staying Safe

We want you to feel safe when you travel with us.

Security

You’ll see the British Transport Police at many of our stations, they often travel on our trains and we work closely with them to ensure our stations and trains are safe.

We host a number of Crime and Security events across our network with British Transport Police which give customers the opportunity to ask questions and learn about safety and security.

At our stations

Our stations are monitored by CCTV and are accredited by the Secure Station Accreditation. Our stations have help points where you can speak to us or report any suspicious activity.

We have also achieved a number of Secure Parking accreditations and Disabled Parking Accreditations under the ParkMark scheme.

You can help by always keeping your luggage and personal belongings with you.

On our trains

Most of our trains have CCTV, which means a safer environment for our customers and staff. It’s always good to take a look at the safety information when you board, as each of our trains may be different.

See it, Say it, Sorted.

If you see anything suspicious or witness a crime contact the British Transport Police on
0800 40 50 40 or text on 61016. In an emergency call 999.

You can report vandalism or damage on our trains or at our stations by informing a member of staff, pressing a help point or by contacting our Customer Service Centre on 03457 125 678.
