When booking a Seatfrog Secret Fare ticket, you can travel to and from London St Pancras from cities such as Sheffield, Nottingham and Derby. You can also travel to and from Liverpool from Sheffield and Nottingham.
No, due to the last minute nature of our Seatfrog Secret Fare allocation, you will only get your ticket emailed to you.
Unfortunately, discounted Seatfrog Secret Fare tickets are non-refundable.
No, your Secret Fare ticket is only valid for travel to and from the destination stated on the ticket.
No, you aren’t able to use a Railcard when booking Secret Fare tickets due to this type of ticket already being discounted.
Secret Fare rail tickets are available from when services open for reservation (usually around 3 months before) up until 2 days before the journey.
In the case of disruption, you can make a Delay Repay compensation claim or ask for a refund by contacting Seatfrog.

Secret Fare tickets are available on selected routes and will not be available everywhere or across all routes every day. Some days might not be available if there are no empty seats to fill. These tickets are only valid on East Midlands Railway train services on selected routes. You must travel on the specific train that we book for you. Seat reservations are compulsory, but this will be done for you.

- All tickets are subject to availability.
- Secret Fare tickets are Standard Class single tickets.
- You can travel from Sheffield to London St Pancras (from £16.00), London St Pancras to Sheffield (from £16.00), Nottingham to London St Pancras (from £12.00), London St Pancras to Nottingham (from £12.00), Derby to London St Pancras (from £12.00), London St Pancras to Derby (from £12.00), Liverpool to Sheffield (from £4.00), Sheffield to Liverpool (from £4.00), Liverpool to Nottingham (from £10.00), Nottingham to Liverpool (from £10.00), Norwich to Nottingham (from £16.00) and Nottingham to Norwich (from £16.00).
- Break of journey is not permitted, you can only go on the train that we book for you.
- You must travel to and from the destination stated on your ticket.
- You can book your Secret Fare ticket from when services open for reservation (usually around 3 months before) up until 2 days before the journey.
- You must choose between a morning (7:00 to 11:59), afternoon (12:00 to 16:49) or evening (17:00 to 21:00) time slot at time of booking. We will match you to an empty seat 24 hours before your travel and you’ll get an email confirming your train departure time.
- You can buy a maximum of 9 tickets per booking. We can’t promise that all passengers in the same booking will be seated together, this is subject to availability. Child and other discounts are not available in conjunction with Seatfrog Secret Fare tickets.
- Secret Fare cannot be used in conjunction with Railcards or another offer or promotion.
- Secret Fare cannot be used in conjunction with Seatfrog First Class upgrades.
- There are no refunds and exchanges, please check before you buy.
- Secret fare tickets are eligible for Delay Repay.
